I have been talking about wanting to learn podcasting for several years now. I’m an avid listener and I have several favorites like Malcolm Gladwell’s Revisionist History, 99% Invisible, This American Life, Serial, Invisibilia, and Mark Hurst’s Techtonic. Several weeks ago I finally took the plunge and signed up for Seth Godin and Alex DiPalma’s The Podcast Fellowship.

It’s been a huge time investment, but I made it through and developed a podcast concept called Mutually Invested. I’m not planning a new career in sound editing and I don’t think Ira Glass will be banging down my door, but I love that I’ve learned the operations and that I have a new platform for content creation at my disposal. It feels good to check that item off the list.
